Flickr photostream traffic jam

In the last several days, the viewing traffic on my Flickr account has gone through the roof. My photostream normally enjoys fairly heavy viewing, averaging 2,500 views a day — but for last three days my photos have received more than 17,000 views each day. What accounts for this sudden rise in interest? I'm not entirely certain, but much of the traffic seems to be the result of a few related blog postings:

I suppose this is proof positive of the viral effectiveness of blogging. Furthermore, this indicates great interest in the material that makes up my new body of work, Cabinet of Curiosities — the new website for which is coming soon.

  3. Thanks, Annie. I won't be able to make it up to Boston for the show. Local commitments, low funds, and an infant are keeping me at home.
